RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Quilts made by Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) arts students will be on display at the university's Murry N. DePillars Atrium Thursday and Friday.

According to VCU, full-sized quilts for the "To Keep You Warm" exhibition were created by Craft/Material Studies Department students throughout the semester using scraps of fabric, upcycled clothing and domestic materials.

The quilts will reportedly be donated to patients in palliative care at the VCU Massey Cancer Center after the exhibition closes.

The exhibition will take place in the Murry N. DePillars Atrium -- located at 1000 West Broad St. -- from Thursday, April 24 to Friday, April 25.

An opening reception will be held for the exhibition from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday.
