Hanover’s revamped website enhances access to services, information
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Hanover County has officially launched a revamped website to help residents access information and services, featuring a resident portal, links to pay taxes and bills and more.
According to a Nov. 19 release from the county, the website's updates include:
- A resident portal to log into your account
- Links to pay taxes and bills, apply for permits and view property maps
- Calendar of upcoming meetings and events and sign-ups for notifications
- Engage Hanover platform to learn about projects and share feedback
- Access to County news and stories through Here in Hanover weekly e-newsletter
“Our new website reflects Hanover’s commitment to providing exceptional service for our community,” County Administrator John A. Budesky said. “The design is clean, accessible and intuitive — whether you’re paying a bill, exploring community projects or signing up for alerts, you can now do it all with just a few clicks. This redesign was guided by our residents’ input and represents a major step forward in connecting citizens with their government.”
The website comes after research, staff collaboration and community feedback, which began in November 2023. At the time, focus groups included county leadership, a resident survey and citizens focus groups.
County officials began implementing the new design in April 2025, with additional focus groups meeting in August to review the layout and help with department content updates, per the release from the county.
