Heavy police presence after child dies in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- There is a heavy police presence in a Chesterfield County neighborhood Thursday night as officers investigate the death of a child.

At about 7:08 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to the 2800 block of Avalon Heights Road.

When they arrived, officers found a child dead.
