Help pick a name for one of Maymont’s baby porcupines

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Have you been holding on to the perfect name for a baby porcupine? Lend your expertise to Maymont in their recently opened naming poll!
It's been a month since Maymont announced that The Robins Nature Center is now home to two female baby porcupines -- also known as porcupettes.
In that time, one porcupette has already received the name Sandy from a donor, but Sandy's friend still needs a name.
From more than 110 names, five have been selected for the final vote, as explained by Maymont:
- Quillma (a play on her coat of quills)
- Rizzo (a reference to the movie Grease)
- Prickles (for her prickly nature)
- Barb (her quills are barbed to latch onto predators)
- Sallie (a tribute to Maymont founder, Sallie May Dooley)
To cast your vote, visit the Maymont website from now until Thursday, Aug. 27. The winning name will be revealed on Saturday, Sept. 6 at The Robins Nature Center.
