Henrico County spray parks remain closed to conserve water following water main break in Richmond
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- In efforts to conserve water in Henrico County as crews continue work to repair a water main break in Richmond, all of the spray parks in the county will remain closed until further notice.
In a Facebook post from Henrico County Recreation and Parks on Monday, June 2, the department shared that all of the spray parks and the stream at Taylor Farm Park will remain off to conserve public water as work continues to repair a water main break in the City of Richmond.
Additionally, the spray parks in Henrico will be closed until further notice.
The water main break in Richmond was reportedly discovered on Thursday, May 29, and initially caused reports of low pressure throughout Henrico County.
On Monday morning, county officials said Henrico County will reportedly reconnect to Richmond’s water distribution system in the morning and will remain connected until late Monday evening when city crews resume repairs to the water main break at 7th and Canal Streets.
