Henrico Police announce ‘Booze Clues’ effort to find people of interest in reported ABC thefts

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Henrico County Police Division has announced a new effort to help find suspects in connection to reported thefts at Virginia Alcoholic Beverage Control Authority (ABC) stores in the county.

On Thursday, March 20, the Henrico County Police Division announced its "Booze Clues" effort to help track people of interest in connection to thefts from ABC stores in the county.

Henrico Police said every Thursday the division will feature a different individual tied to a crime involving a reported theft from a local ABC store on its Facebook.

According to officials, out of more than 3,000 shoplifting calls that Henrico Police officers responded to in 2024, about 19% were tied to ABC stores.

"This is an issue we’re not only seeing here in Henrico, but across the Commonwealth. That said, we need YOUR help solving these crimes," said the Henrico County Police Division in a Facebook post on Thursday.

The police division said people can head to its website to view photos of all of the people of interest connected to reported thefts from local ABC stores and find information on how to report the individuals they recognize to the police.
