Henrico Police looking for 3 suspects in connection to Home Depot fraud incidents

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Henrico County Division of Police is asking for help locating three people it says were involved in two fraud incidents at a Home Depot in the western part of the county and one in Hanover County. According to police, both incidents in Henrico took place in August 2024 at the Home Depot on the 6500 block of West Broad Street. In both cases, the suspects allegedly asked to rent a heavy piece of machinery from the store, oftentimes a boom lift. Police said the suspects did not provide their names and did not return the pieces of machinery, which were later located outside Henrico. Detectives have determined that at least three people were involved in these incidents and have identified two -- 24-year-old Ricardo Antonio "Bella" Moreno, Jr. of Hopewell and 35-year-old Jatwan Lamont Redmond of the town of Waverly in Sussex County. On Oct. 18, detectives learned about the third incident, which took place at a Home Depot in the town of Ashland in Hanover County. According to police, an unknown man tried to rent a piece of equipment in a similar way but the rental did not go through. The man in the incident in Ashland was captured by security cameras while in the store. He is described as a Black man with a black goatee wearing a black head wrap, a neon green long-sleeve shirt and ripped jeans. Detectives believe he is linked to one of the incidents in Henrico. Anyone with information related to the whereabouts of Moreno or Redmond -- or the identity of the third suspect -- are asked to call Henrico Police at 804-501-5000.
