Henrico Police take wanted person into custody after ‘high-risk traffic stop’

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A wanted person in a vehicle was taken into custody on Wednesday afternoon in what police are calling a "high-risk traffic stop."

Just after noon on Wednesday, June 11, Henrico County Police Division found a wanted person near W. Broad Street and Pouncey Tract Road.

The suspect drove the vehicle onto Interstate 64 just past the Parham Road exit, according to police.

Officials said the person was taken into custody without incident.

As of the time of reporting, it's unclear why police were searching for this individual, and the gender or age of this person.
