Henrico Police urge drivers to clear snow and ice for safe driving
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Henrico County Police are reminding residents to remove all snow and ice from vehicles before driving.
On Jan. 27, Henrico Police shared in a post that residents should clear off all snow and ice from their vehicles before driving on the roads, including the car's roof, lights, front and rear windows.
Ice and snow can fly off vehicles and possibly hit other motorists on the road. Drivers are also reminded to clear the front and rear windows in order to view their entire surroundings.
Roads are still not entirely safe to drive on as crews work to clear the snow and ice from this past weekend's winter storm.
Henrico Police are urging drivers not to drive unless it is absolutely necessary.
