Homebuying is most affordable in these 3 Central Virginia locales: Redfin.com
(STACKER) -- Three Central Virginia locales are among the most affordable places to buy a home anywhere in the state, according to Redfin.com.
Homeownership is something many strive to achieve -- although it's far easier said than done. But affordable pockets still exist. Virginia residents can comfortably spend around 30% of their income or less on housing in some parts of the Commonwealth, which is widely considered the affordable threshold.
Redfin Real Estate ranked the most affordable places across Virginia based on their local payment-to-income ratios.
These locales were then compiled into a top-20 list by Stacker -- and three Central Virginia localities are among them. More than that, a Richmond-area county came in first place.
