Hopewell road to close for essential pipe repairs in August

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- The westbound direction of a road in the City of Hopewell will be temporarily closed in early August for maintenance, with detours to be in place for drivers.
Winston Churchill Drive in Hopewell will be closed to all traffic in the westbound direction at High Avenue beginning at 7 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 4 through Thursday, Aug 7, to allow for essential pipe repairs.
According to the city, electronic message boards will alert drivers of the road closure and provide directions for a detour. Drivers are advised to follow the posted signage in the area and use alternate routes during that time.
