Jennings’ 3 TDs lead No. 13 SMU to rout of Virginia, ACC title game spot
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Kevin Jennings beat his career high on Saturday, throwing for 323 yards and two touchdowns, as well as rushing for another. This performance led No. 13 MU to a resounding 33-7 victory over Virginia, securing them a spot in the Atlantic Coast Conference championship game. SMU's defense dominated Virginia's offensive line, sacking Anthony Colandrea nine times and limiting the Cavaliers (5-6, 3-4) to a mere 173 total yards. Special teams also contributed, with Roderick Daniels Jr.'s 48-yard punt return and Collin Rogers' two field goals. Virginia would have been bowl eligible with a win against SMU, but they'll have another chance at their game against rival Virginia Tech next Saturday night.
