Hopewell Police looking for man after armed robbery

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- The Hopewell Police Department is looking for man who may have been involved in an armed robbery Saturday evening.
On Saturday, April 4 at 10 p.m., the department received a call about an armed robbery that had just taken place at 1001 W. Broadway.
Upon arrival, the victim told police that a Black male around 40 to 50 years old wearing blue jeans and a black shirt entered the business and displayed a firearm.
The man then took an unknown amount of money from the register and left on foot, per officials.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing, and anyone with information is asked to contact the Hopewell Criminal Investigations Unit at 804-541-2284.
