Lamb Arts Fest returns to Hopewell to celebrate art and community

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- 8News got a visit from a special guest on Tuesday to talk about the upcoming 6th annual Lamb Arts Fest happening this weekend in Hopewell.
8News anchors Autumn Childress and Delaney Hall were joined by the founder and executive director of the Lamb Center for Art and Healing, Dr. Eliza Lamb, to talk about what people can expect.
"We invite arts organizations and nonprofits from around the region to come and offer a full afternoon of free arts programming for the community," Lamb said.
The free event will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, along the 200 block of East Broadway in downtown Hopewell. People will have the chance to meet local artists, peruse exhibitions and much more.
"We were founded to help bring arts and mind, body, spirit healing programs to some of our state's most underserved communities," Lamb said when talking about the center's mission. "So we do that every year -- we bring programming to over 8,000 community members in our area."
