Lane closure coming to 7th Street Bridge in Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The City of Richmond announced recently that a lane closure is coming to the 7th Street Bridge near Interstate 95. According to a release from the city, the left northbound lane that crosses the 7th Street Bridge between Jackson Street and I-95 will be closed starting Wednesday, Feb 5 and will last until Thursday, Dec. 25. Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) will be doing construction work at the site in an attempt to create safer access to a nearby parking lot, according to the city. There will be two lanes of travel open for people to access the I-95 and I-64 ramps as well as Hospital Street. All southbound traffic on 7th street will have a lane shift, and pedestrian access to cross I-95 will remain. For more information, click here.
