Large brush fire causes evacuations in Lunenburg

LUNENBURG COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Multiple residents have evacuated their homes due to a large brush fire in Lunenburg on Saturday afternoon.
On Saturday, March 21, the Victoria Fire & Rescue posted on social media that crews, along with the Virginia Department of Forestry and other mutual-aid companies, are fighting a large brush fire in the area of Burkeville Road, Falls Road and Chaffin Lane.
Multiple homes in the surrounding area have been evacuated while units work to control the fire.
Officials are asking residents to avoid the area.
