LIST: Central Virginia schools closed, going virtual Thursday, Friday due to hazardous conditions

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Many Central Virginia school districts will remain closed or will shift to virtual learning on Thursday and Friday due to hazardous road conditions following a snow and ice storm.

This system initially brought some snow to the region around dinnertime on Saturday, Jan. 24, before turning into sleet and freezing rain in the early morning hours of Sunday, Jan. 25. That freezing rain quickly turned into ice, creating dangerous driving conditions.
