LIST: Free youth events in Richmond for a safe spring break

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond leaders are coming together to help ensure the city's younger residents have a safe, enjoyable spring break.

From Friday, March 27 until Sunday, April 5, the Richmond Police Department -- in partnership with the city's Office of Gun Violence Prevention and Virginia State Police -- will participate in the "Spring Forward Initiative."

This initiative combines free programming for youth and families with enhanced public safety efforts in hopes of creating a safer spring break experience.

From single-day workshops to day camps, here's a look at the events that will be offered as part of the Spring Forward Initiative.
