Two detained following shooting at South Hill Ford dealership

MECKLENBURG COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Two people were detained following a shooting at a Ford dealership in the South Hill area of Mecklenburg County on Thursday afternoon, where authorities say one person was shot.

Just after 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 26, officers with the South Hill Police Department responded to a report of shots fired at Hardee Ford, a Ford dealership at 1305 W. Danville St.

Police confirmed one person was confirmed shot, though their condition is unknown at this time.

Two suspects have been detained and are currently being questioned by police, according to officials.

"Based on preliminary information, this appears to be an isolated incident and there is no ongoing threat to the public," police wrote in a March 26 press release.

Officers remain on scene, and this incident is still under investigation.
