Log on to the virtual hiring event for job seekers from Fredericksburg to Petersburg
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Virginia Has Jobs initiative is hosting a virtual hiring event on Tuesday from Fredericksburg to Petersburg.
The hiring event will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 8 -- a few weeks after the SimVentions virtual hiring event in Fredericksburg on Friday, March 28. It's made possible through a partnership between Virginia Works, the Virginia Employment Commission and Virginia Career Works.
Officials with Virginia Works said that this online job fair aims to connect future employees with both public and private employers in the state. Virtual employers will offer job search resources, job descriptions and live video interview opportunities.
“Collaborating with our partners at Virginia Career Works we will make this event another powerful, digitally enabled opportunity to connect career transitioners to their next role,” said Nicole Overley, Commissioner of Virginia Works, in a press release.
Registration is open for both job seekers and employers in the Capital, Crater and Bay Workforce Board regions.
