Louisa County Sheriff’s Office to host Special Needs & Autism Awareness Festival
LOUISA COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The Louisa County Sheriff's Office is set to host a Special Needs & Autism Awareness Festival in June.
The festival will be held on Saturday, June 7 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Moss-Nuckols Elementary School, offering community members a place to raise awareness and find the special needs resources that are right for them.
There will be over 40 different organizations providing special needs, mental health, educational and support resources. Additionally, people can enjoy arts and crafts, sensory-friendly activities, hayrides, food trucks, local vendors and much more.
This is a free, family-friendly event, and there will be on-site resources from local organizations like Autism Society of Central Virginia and Virginia Down Syndrome Association, among others.
