Mama J’s in Richmond holds soft opening of market ahead of grand debut

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Mama J's, a beloved Richmond restaurant, held a soft opening for its market on Friday ahead of its grand opening on Feb. 1, inviting customers to come in and provide feedback.

On Friday, Jan. 2, Mama J's announced in a social post that they are still receiving more inventory and stocking shelves, as well as adding decorative pieces throughout the space and training staff for retail. Restaurant officials also said they have local vendors stop by to see if they are allowed to sell their products.

The market invites customers and neighbors inside to peek around, purchase what they would like and give observations and suggestions on future ideas and opportunities for the market.

Mama J's will hold a grand opening at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 1.
