Man allegedly steals lottery tickets from 13 Richmond stores
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- After a man allegedly stole lottery tickets from 13 stores throughout Richmond, police are asking the public's help to find him. According to the Richmond Police Department, detectives are asking the public's help to find a man captured on surveillance cameras who allegedly stole lottery tickets from multiple stores throughout the city in December and January. Police said employees at local convenience stores reported that the suspect entered their stores and requested several scratch-off lottery tickets. When the clerk placed the lottery tickets on the counter, officials said the suspect would ask the clerk for another item. While the employee was distracted, the suspect would reportedly grab the lottery tickets from the counter and run from the store. According to police, the suspect wore a distinctive light-colored hoodie with a photo of a boy on the front and back.
