Man arrested in connection to downspout thefts in Richmond neighborhoods
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Richmond Police have recently arrested a man after several downspouts were reported stolen out of The Fan and Museum District late last year. According to police, detectives with the Third Precinct arrested 32-year-old Bryan Burnett in connection to the thefts of copper downspouts in both Richmond neighborhoods. Burnett has been charged with petit larceny as well as felony larceny with the intent to sell, although police said that additional charges are pending. This arrest comes after a string of copper downspout thefts occurred in the Museum District in October of last year. Richmond Police warned residents again in December, as homes in The Fan were being targeted as well for copper downspout thefts.
