Man charged with murder in connection to deadly Richmond stabbing
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A 30-year-old man has been charged with murder in connection to a deadly December 2024 stabbing in Richmond. Following an indictment by a grand jury on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 30-year-old Javontae Walton of Richmond has been charged with murder in connection to a homicide on Wythemar Street in Dec. 2024. At around noon on Monday, Dec. 23, 2024, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 100 block of Wythemar Street for the report of a person stabbed. When officers arrived at the scene, they found 26-year-old Sean Scott of Richmond, down and injured with multiple stab wounds. According to police, Scott was taken to a local hospital, where he later died due to his injuries. Police said the medical examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
