Man found shot dead in Richmond’s Northside

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was found shot dead inside a building in Richmond's Northside late Thursday night.
Just before 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, June 5, officers with the Richmond Police Department were called to the 2200 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for report of a person shot.
When they arrived, officers found a man inside of a building with a gunshot wound. He died at the scene.
"This investigation is on-going, detectives are not looking for any suspects at this time," a police spokesperson said.
No further details on this death investigation, including any identifying information about the building where the victim was found, are available as of the time of reporting.
