Man hospitalized after shooting in Henrico

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was taken to the hospital after a shooting in Henrico County on Wednesday.

At about 5:10 p.m. on Wednesday, July 2, officers with the Henrico County Police Division were called to the 3700 block of Vawter Avenue for a report of a shooting.

When they arrived, officers found an unidentified man who had been shot.

Two vehicles said to be related to the shooting were also found at the scene. A police spokesperson could not provide any information on how these vehicles were involved.

The man was taken to a local hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening.

Police said there is no active threat to the community. Officers are not looking for any additional suspects in connection with this incident.
