Man identified in deadly Chesterfield electric unicycle crash

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The victim of a deadly electric unicycle crash has been identified by Chesterfield Police as they continue to investigate the incident. According to police, officers responded at 4:41 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 9 to a crash that involved an electric unicycle and a truck in the 5700 block of Route 1. When officers arrived, they found 26-year-old Tyrik A. Burchette in the road after he had been thrown from his electric unicycle during the crash. Burchette was taken to a local hospital where he died due to his injuries, according to police. The vehicle that hit Burchette, along with the driver, stayed on scene and is currently cooperating with police.
