Man in hospital after police found vehicle in ditch on Three Chopt Road

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is in the hospital after police found his vehicle in a ditch along Three Chopt Road in Henrico County on Friday.

At around 12:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 29, officers with the Henrico County Police Division and crews with Henrico County Division of Fire were called to the intersection of Rainbow Drive and Three Chopt Road for a report of a single-vehicle crash.

When officers arrived, they found a vehicle in the ditch along the westbound side of Three Chop Road.

Crews were able to extract an unidentified man, the only person in the vehicle, and he was taken to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials said Three Chopt Road would remain closed for the next 30 minutes, as crews work to reopen all lanes of traffic.
