Man killed after being hit by vehicle in Richmond

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was killed after being hit by a vehicle in Richmond on Friday.
At 5:53 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 19, a call for service was received for a male lying in the grass near the 100 block of Green Acres Ave. in Richmond.
Officers found a man down on the ground unresponsive.
He was taken to a local hospital, where he later died due to his injuries.
The Richmond Police Department Crash Team determined that the pedestrian was hit by a vehicle traveling southbound in the 100 block of Green Acres Ave., per a release.
Police continue to investigate the crash.
