Man killed in deadly motorcycle crash in Albemarle County

ALBEMARLE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- On Sunday morning, Albemarle County Police Department and Albemarle County Fire Rescue responded to a deadly crash involving a motorcycle.

At 1:38 a.m. on Sunday, March 23, the police and fire department responded to a single-vehicle crash that involved a motorcycle at the 1800 block of Garth Road.

According to police, the two people riding the motorcycle were taken to a local hospital by Albemarle County Fire Rescue. One of the victims died at the hospital due to injuries.

Police said the identity of the deceased will be held until the next of kin has been notified.

The crash is still under investigation by Albemarle County Police Department.
