Man killed in shooting on Brook Road identified by Henrico police

HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- The man who died after being shot on Brook Road in Henrico County has been identified by police, and the shooting has been reclassified as a homicide. At 11:57 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, Henrico police responded to the 8500 block of Brook Road for a call for service for a domestic-related incident. When officers arrived on the scene, officers discovered a man inside of a room with gunshot wounds. The officers provided life-saving actions until first responders from Henrico County Division of Fire took him to a nearby hospital. He later died from injuries. Police identified the victim as 25-year-old La Von Marquis Anderson of Henrico County. Henrico Criminal Investigations Section's detectives have identified a suspect in the shooting and are investigating to look into what may have led up to the shooting.
