Man seriously hurt in Chesterfield ATV crash on Fourth of July
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A man was seriously hurt in an ATV crash in Chesterfield County on the Fourth of July.
The afternoon of Friday, July 4, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to the 15200 block of Isle Pines Drive for report of an ATV crash.
According to police, two people were riding on an ATV in the area of Isle Pines Drive when the ATV overturned and crashed off-road.
The passenger on the ATV, an unidentified man, was taken to the hospital for treatment of a "significant leg injury." A police spokesperson said he was "bleeding heavily."
The unidentified driver of the ATV was reportedly unhurt.
As of the time of reporting, officers remain at the scene of the crash. An investigation into its exact circumstances is ongoing.
