PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- Some Petersburg residents have been evacuated after a "military era relic" was found, causing a street to close.
The afternoon of Monday, March 23, the Petersburg Bureau of Police announced that the 500 block of S. South Street is closed off to the public after a "military era relic" was found.
Residents in the area have evacuated, and S. South Street between Lee Avenue and Wilcox Street is closed.
