Many Henrico residents without power due to several downed trees
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- About 1,000 Henrico County homes and businesses are without electricity Monday evening after multiple trees fell, taking down power lines.
At about 4:40 p.m. on Monday, March 23, officers with the Henrico County Police Division received reports that trees had fallen on both Dumbarton and Charles City roads.
The Dumbarton Road incident involves several large trees coming down onto power lines, while a single tree fell onto a power line on Charles City Road, causing a utility pole to snap.

Dumbarton Road between Brook Run Drive and Lakeside Avenue, as well as Charles City Road between Klockner and Glen Allen drives, are closed while repairs are made. These repairs are expected to take several hours.
As of 6 p.m., just over 1,000 Henrico homes and businesses served by Dominion Energy are without power, according to the company's Outage Map.
Police added that the traffic light at Charles City Road and S. Laburnum Avenue is also out due to this incident. Drivers are asked to treat this intersection as a four-way stop during this time.
