Man shot and killed in Richmond’s Northside overnight

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Richmond Police Department is investigating after a man was shot and killed in the city's Northside overnight.
At 2:05 a.m. on Thursday, March 20, officers were called to the 400 block of East Brookland Park Boulevard for a reported shooting.
When they arrived at the scene, police found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. According to police, he was unresponsive and "eventually pronounced dead at the scene."
The Richmond Police Department is continuing to investigate. Anyone with information about this incident is encouraged to contact police.
