Man shot during fight in Hopewell, suspect in custody

HOPEWELL, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is in the hospital after he was shot during a fight in Hopewell on Thursday.
At 4:46 p.m. on Thursday, March 19, officers with the Hopewell Police Department responded to a call about a shooting in the 100 block of Ruth Harris Way.
They learned that a 32-year-old man had been shot during a physical fight.
He was taken to a local hospital for treatment of his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening.
Early-morning fight escalates into stabbing in Hopewell
Police said a "person of interest" is in custody, but provided no other details.
