Man wanted in deadly VSU shooting still at large, considered armed and dangerous
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A month later, the armed and dangerous man wanted in connection with an early October deadly shooting on Virginia State University (VSU) campus is still at large, per police. Two other people, including his father, are already in custody.
Just after 11 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4, officers with the Chesterfield County Police Department were called to the 20900 block of Third Avenue -- near the VSU multipurpose center -- for a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
When they arrived, they found 20-year-old Omarion Bryant with multiple gunshot wounds. He died at the scene.
A warrant was obtained for 19-year-old Latrell Creighton of Dinwiddie County, who is wanted for Bryant's second-degree murder. Neither he nor Bryant is affiliated with VSU.

As of Tuesday, Nov. 4, Latrell has not been taken into custody. Investigators learned that Creighton has family in Jackson, Tennessee, and that they are "actively aiding him," per police.
"Police will continue to investigate, but ask the public both locally and in Jackson, Tenn., to report any information on Creighton’s whereabouts immediately to their local police department," police said.
Creighton, pictured below, is described as a Black man with black hair and brown eyes. He is said to be about 5-foot-11-inches tall and weigh about 165 pounds. He has a distinctive tattoo across the front of his neck.
