Medication take-back event to be hosted in Chesterfield

CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A medication take-back event will be held in Chesterfield County at the end of this month.
According to a post from the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office, people can bring unused or expired medication to the Wegmans at 12501 Stone Village Way on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The aim of the event is to potentially help prevent drug abuse as well as provide a safe, no questions asked opportunity for people to get rid of medication.
No needles will be accepted at this take-back event.
