Mental health-related call closes part of South Airport Drive in Henrico County
HENRICO COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A mental health-related call closed part of South Airport Drive in Henrico County Friday morning, according to police.
In the morning on Friday, March 13, the Henrico County Police Division announced in a press release that officers were on scene at South Airport Drive near Interstate 64 for a mental health-related call.
Police said there was no threat to the community.
As of reporting, officials said all north and southbound lanes of South Airport Drive were closed from Audubon Drive to Nine Mile Road.
In addition, police said Audubon Drive from South Airport Drive to Oakley's Lane was also closed.
All on and off ramps of I-64 at South Airport Drive were also closed, as of reporting.
According to officials, detours were in place, and drivers should take Williamsburg Road or Nine Mile Road for travel around the area, and the closures will impact drivers' morning commute.
