Man dead after shooting on Richmond’s Chamberlayne Avenue

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- A man is dead after police said he was shot along Chamberlayne Avenue in Richmond Wednesday evening.
At 8:11 p.m. on Wednesday, April 1, officers with the Richmond Police Department responded to the 3000 block of Chamberlayne Avenue for the report of a person shot.
When officers arrived, they found a man with an apparent gunshot wound. Police said he was pronounced dead on the scene by responders.
