Missing 77-year-old Hanover woman with ‘cognitive impairment’ could be in danger
HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A missing 77-year-old Hanover County woman with a "cognitive impairment" could be in danger after she left home and then did not make it to her destination.
The evening of Tuesday, May 13, Virginia State Police issued a missing senior alert for 77-year-old Alice Collins Overton. She was last seen leaving her Blanton Road home at about 11:30 a.m. Tuesday.
She never arrived at her destination, the Hanover County Sheriff's Office said. The office added that there is reason to believe she may have traveled to the Petersburg area.
Overton has a "cognitive impairment" and her disappearance poses a credible threat to her health and safety, authorities said.
