Missing Petersburg man with Alzheimer’s could be in danger

PETERSBURG, Va. (WRIC) -- A missing 60-year-old Petersburg man with Alzheimer's could be in danger, police say.

At about 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 8, the Petersburg Bureau of Police issued a missing and endangered persons alert for 60-year-old George Carr, Jr., who was last seen at about 10 a.m. Thursday in the 100 block of Leavenworth Street.

Carr, who is pictured below, has Alzheimer's. His disappearance is believed to pose a credible threat to his health and safety.

Police did not provide a description of what Carr may have been wearing when he was last seen.
