Months-long closure coming to Chesterfield roadway
CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Part of a Chesterfield County roadway will be shut down for several months to allow for scheduled work.
Starting at 7 a.m. on Monday, April 13, Old Otterdale Road between Midlothian Parkway and Little Hawk Drive/Route 667 (Otterdale Woods Road) will be closed by Windswept Development, LLC to allow for roadway improvements to be made.
This closure will be in place for four months, weather permitting, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT). During this time, the following detours will be in place:
- Westbound traffic: Take Midlothian Turnpike west to Otterdale Woods Road.
- Eastbound traffic: Use Otterdale Woods Road.
The planned improvements include traffic signals, road widening and a new roundabout.
