VDOT wants input on Caroline roadway, possible safety improvements
CAROLINE COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- Caroline County residents are asked to weigh in on improvements they'd like to see on a Ladysmith roadway.
On Monday, April 13, the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) will host a public meeting to collect feedback on a transportation study of Ladysmith Road. The meeting will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at Lewis and Clark Elementary School, which is located at 18101 Clark and York Blvd.
Through this study, VDOT hopes to identify transportation issues on Ladysmith Road between Green and Bulls Church roads, especially regarding the Interstate 95 on/off ramp approaches at the Ladysmith Road intersection.

After receiving feedback from the Caroline community, VDOT will develop possible solutions and improvements for Ladysmith Road. These recommendations will then be presented to the public at a later date before any construction takes place.
VDOT previously collected public input on this project through online surveys in the spring of 2025.
