Moulin Rouge! The Musical plays at Richmond’s Altria Theater

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The Tony award-winning Moulin Rouge! The Musical is playing at Richmond's Altria Theater in mid-March.

To learn more about the performances, 8News Anchors Delaney Hall and Autumn Childress spoke with actor Danny Burgos who plays the role of Santiago in the musical.

As for what attendees can expect, Burgos said the show is a captivating sensory experience.

"I like to say that it is an assault to the senses in the best way possible," Burgos said. "It is loud, furious and beautiful, and it is a stereotypical love story told though every single pop song that you know and love."
