Movies in the Outfield returns to The Diamond in Richmond
RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- Starting in May, the Richmond Flying Squirrels are bringing Movies in the Outfield back to The Diamond.
Movies in the Outfield offers people the chance to catch a movie at the ballpark -- courtesy of the Flying Squirrels and Woodfin -- from May through October.
The series will kick off on Friday, May 23, with Lilo & Stitch playing at 7 p.m.
The schedule for the rest of the year has also been announced:
- Wicked -- Aug. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
- Field of Dreams -- Sept. 5 at 7:30 p.m.
- Hocus Pocus -- Oct. 24 at 7 p.m.
Seating for the movies will be on the field as well as the first-base lower bowl of the stadium, with the organizers asking people to only bring pillows and blankets, no lawn chairs.
