Multi-vehicle crash on I-295 North in Hanover closes multiple lanes, causing delays

HANOVER COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 295 North in Hanover County has closed multiple lanes on Wednesday, causing delays for drivers in the area.

The crash was first reported at about 4:48 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27, along northbound I-295 just west of its interchange with Creighton Road, according to the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT).

As of 4:57 p.m., the northbound right and center lanes are closed.

Drivers are encouraged to seek alternative routes as first responders work to clear the scene.
