Multiple closures coming to Richmond’s Union Hill area for several weeks

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) -- The City of Richmond's Department of Public Works (DPW) have announced that multiple lane closures will take place in Richmond's Union Hill area.

The Union Hill area in Richmond will experience multiple closures that will begin Monday, March 24 through Friday, April 18 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m in the following areas:

• Cedar Street -- from East Broad Street to the dead end
• Venable Street -- from N. 25th Street to Oliver Hill Way
• Russell Street -- from Carrington Street to Burton Street
• P Street -- from N. 25th Street to Burton Street
• Burton Street -- from Russell Street to N. 25th Street
• Pink Street -- from Carrington Street to Burton Street
• N. 24th Street -- from Cedar Street to Burton Street
• Tulip Street -- from Carrington Street to Burton Street
• N. 23rd Street -- from Burton Street to Jefferson Avenue
• Jessamine Street -- from Carrington Street to N. 23rd Street
• N. 22nd Street -- from Carrington Street to Jefferson Avenue
• N. 21st Street -- from Carrington Street to Princess Avenue
• Princess Avenue -- from Mosby Street to N. 21st Street
• East Leigh Street -- from N. 21st Street to Jefferson Avenue
• M Street -- from N. 21st Street to N. 25th Street

According to DPW, there will be alternating lane closures in the listed areas for heat scarification.
