CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, Va. (WRIC) -- A Narcan distribution box has been installed at the Chesterfield County Courthouse.

According to the Chesterfield County Sheriff's Office, the Chesterfield Community Services Board is sponsoring the Narcan distribution box, which is located just outside the exit doors of the Chesterfield County General District/Circuit Courthouse, at 9500 Courthouse Rd.

The box gives residents free access to Narcan, an over-the-counter drug that can reverse an opioid overdose in an emergency, Deterra Packs, -- a way to dispose of unwanted medications -- testing strips and other resources.
